| Jardim is
located on the Serra da Bodoquena region (Bodoquena's Mound
region), to the south of Pantanal and 220 km far from Campo
Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul’s capital. The city has interesting
attractions to those seeking adventure tourism. Similar to Bonito,
the visits must be scheduled on tourism agencies and the presence
of an authorized guide is required. The two cities are the most
well organized ecotourism destinies on the country. Jardim is 70
km far from Bonito.
Flotation
on Rio da Prata (Prata's River)
The Rio da Prata, with
crystalline water, is one of the best locations to flotation. The
stroll begins with a hike on the forest. On the river, you are
lead by the calm river flow during two hours and you have the
chance of observing fishes like pacus, pintados, piraputangas and
dourados. After that incredible experience, there’s a lunch with
typical dishes from the region on the farm seat.
Diving on Lagoa Misteriosa (Misteriosa Lake)
The lake is more than 200 meters deep and has clean water, and
it’s indicated for independent diving. On periods the water is
more crystalline, the visibility deep is 40 meters.
Visit to Buraco das Araras (Araras' Hole)
This crater, where hundreds of red-araras live, is more than 100
meters deep and has a lake in the bottom. Late at afternoon,
it’s possible to see an impressive flight of birds.

Generally, tourists on Jardim use the hotels of the near city,
Bonito.

TO GET THERE
It’s 220 km far from
Campo Grande, by the road BR-060, via Nioaque and Guia Lopes da
Laguna. There are buses departing from Campo Grande.
